Information evening highlights
Points West Living culture

December 15th, 2017

A recent Family & Friends Information Night at Points West Living Lloydminster, gave residents, their families, friends, and care partners a taste of what makes Points West Living tick. The evening covered everything from history to mission and values, to the Eden philosophy and memory care, to upcoming events.

Lots of positive comments

About thirty people took part and showed great interest in presentations by General Manager Sarah Walker, along with community mentor Mary Lou Duncan, LPN Michele Lainey, and Recreation Therapist Emma Mathieu. A question & answer time followed, and Sarah says, “There weren’t a lot of questions at the end, but there were lots of positive comments.”

Spontaneous fun

Kitchen care partners prepared a lovely selection of goodies and punch for all the guests. “There was a bit of spontaneous fun too,” adds Sarah. “During group introductions resident Norbert Koch decided to sing a couple Christmas carols in German. He was joined by resident Mary Nolin, whom we had no idea knew German.”

“At the end of our presentation, resident Helen Brooks’ young grandson Brody got up and played his guitar and sang some songs for us. The night was such a success!”
