Pub snacks and lucky coins draw residents
to St. Patrick’s Day celebration

March 23rd, 2018

Points West Living Slave Lake cooks Roland Salmorin and Ravi Rangaswamy sure know how to attract a crowd, and that’s exactly what they did for the residents’ St. Patrick’s Day celebration. It was an afternoon of snacking on deep-fried succhini sticks, boneless chicken thighs, pretzels and popcorn twists.

Great afternoon snacking and laughing

With a variety of beverages including (NA) beer in festive green cups, there was a fun, relaxed party atmosphere. The room was decorated with green streamers, gold coins and other Irish-inspired décor.

“We had a great afternoon snacking and laughing together,” says recreation coordinator Ashleigh Turner. “I always enjoy having our themed parties, because even some of the residents that don't usually participate in recreation come out to party.”
