Spontaneous balloon volley draws unexpected
interest, community, and fun

May 14th, 2018

It just took one to start, but within a few minutes, it turned into a four-person game at Points West Living Peace River. Housekeeping care partner Ryan Fedillo picked up a tube of foam pipe insulation and handed another to 97-year-old Anne Kuran who was sitting alone at the games table. Ryan blew up a balloon, tied it off and the game was on.

Four times the fun

Marie Plaizier took note and came to join in the fun. They were soon joined by Noella Fillion, making it a foursome, and four times the fun. They had so much fun and exercise that when the game wound down, the residents said they had to go for a little rest.
