The cake says it all – at Nursing Week

May 7-13 was Nursing Week across Canada, and residents and fellow care partners at Points West Living Lloydminster showed their appreciation throughout the week. On Friday, the whole community celebrated with gifts and tributes to each LPN and Health Care Aide. 

Pizza and plants

During the week, General Manager Sarah Walker brought in pizza (which she had won in an online contest) to employee care partners on evening service, and coffee for those on day service. Sarah also prepared for the appreciation party by assembling individualized potted plants.

At the party, residents and care partners gathered, and Sarah read some heartfelt nursing poems, delivered a tribute and potted plant to each nursing care partner, and everyone joined in to enjoy some coffee and cake.
