Slave Lake celebrates Health Care Aide Day with
helping hands, flowers, cake, and candy

October 24th, 2018

Points West Living Slave Lake celebrated Health Care Aide Day on October 18. In the morning, General Manager Marilyn Badduik, along with Educator Shanika McQueen and recreation coordinator Mailyn Fornoles lent a hand as the HCAs prepared breakfast for residents.

It was a surprise

And in the afternoon, Marilyn and helpers quickly decoraded the multi-purpose room for a surprise party. She brought flowers, cake, candy and cards. Residents from each cottage presented the flowers and card to their cottage HCAs, and everyone enjoyed a special cake together. “It was a surprise for them,” says Mailyn. "They were happy that in a small way we gave them appreciation for their hard work”
