Residents enjoy big-hearted baking day
at PWL Peace River
February 25th, 2019
The day before Valentine’s Day, residents at Points West Living Peace River got to bake their own sweet treats. The cookies passed the taste test with flying colours (mostly red sprinkles), and the general response among residents was, “Let’s do this again. Soon!”
Setting the mood
Pauline Laurin (back left in above photo) is the volunteer who led the baking. She arrived at PWL Peace River after lunch and was greeted by an enthusiastic group of memory care residents, including her mom, Irene Laurin. Pauline brought along some heart inspired trinkets to set the Valentine's Day mood. She gave out heart eyeglasses and pendants to everyone who participated in the afternoon of baking.
A job well done in fun
It was a fun time, as everyone mixed, rolled, cut, decorated, and particularly, consumed their creations.
