Students deliver ‘Random Acts of Kindness'
to residents of PWL Lloydminster

March 9th, 2019

Students from Lloydminster Comprehensive High School paid a visit to Points West Living Lloydminster recently to deliver ‘Random Acts of Kindness’. The grade 11-12 students are in the school’s Cosmetology program and brought goodies and services as a gift for residents.

Kindness week

“The Cosmetology program instructor, Lisa Blanchet applied for a grant for ‘kindness week’,” says Karly McDonald, Recreation Therapist, “and was approved for $200 to provide our residents with a fun-filled afternoon.”

Coffee, donuts and manicures

The students brought boxes of Tim Horton’s donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to share with residents. They then spent the afternoon providing hand massages and manicures.

‘Random Acts of Kindness Week’ is promoted by Alberta’s Prevention of Bullying Youth Committee with the aim to ‘create a safe and caring society and leave bullying behind – one kind act at a time’.
