Mascot enhances Cold Lake Rodeo outing

June 21st, 2019

Points West Living Cold Lake was happy to receive complimentary tickets to the 2019 Cold Lake Rodeo from the event organizer, the Cold Lake Agricultural Society. The resulting outing took place on June 8th, with everyone bundled for the chilly weather. As the only spectators seated in the wheelchair accessible part of the grandstand, the PWL contingent enjoyed front row seats to all the action, including the antics of Boomer the Bull.

Really entertaining

The PWL Slave Lake group included General Manager Peter Walsh and his family, 5 residents and office administrator Wendy Ballachay. “There was calf roping, barrel racing and bull riding,” says Wendy, “and everyone got to enjoy some mini donuts from the mini donut shack."

The Agricultural Society’s mascot, Boomer the Bull hung around, interacting (wordlessly) with residents. “They were really entertained, and laughing,” says Wendy.
