Going Pink for a cause

November 15th, 2019

Residents at Points West Living Athens Creek in Penticton held a very pink fundraiser recently. Pink clothing, pink tablecloths, pink balloons and flowers, and even a couple of pink feather boas. It was all in aid of breast cancer research and care.

Pink, pink pink!

Residents gathered in the upstairs lounge of PWL Athens Creek on October 25th, and enjoyed pink punch and pink cupcakes. They took turns guessing how many pink jelly beans were in a jar, with everyone’s guess coming in well below the actual count. There were 667 in the jar and thw closest guess was 556.

$250 raised

General Manager Donna McBeth (sporting a fluorescent hot pink wig) started up a spontaneous game of balloon volleyball, and by the end of the afternoon, $250 had been raised.
