Volunteer firefighters (aka Santa's Helpers) distribute gifts

December 16th, 2019

Lac La Biche firefighters dropped by Points West Living Lac La Biche recently, wearing their ‘Santa’s Helpers’ hats. With family members helping out, they delivered a beautiful fresh fruit basket to every resident.

Perfect Christmas gift

The group of about 30 people of all ages went around to all three PWL Lac La Biche cottages plus the independent living condos, and hand-delivered the baskets.

“It was a real surprise for the residents, and they were really happy,” says Anoop Jose, Recreation Therapist. “Most of the residents commented that, it was a perfect Christmas gift for them and they never expected one like this.”

Embracing seniors of the community

This is the second year Santa’s Helpers, the Lac La Biche Firefighters Society charitable arm, has visited PWL Lac La Biche. What a delightful way to embrace seniors of the community.
