Tailgate party goes ahead rain or shine

September 9th, 2020

The weather may not have been perfect for Points West Living Prince Albert’s tailgate party on August 27, but the nice big party tents set up in the back yard kept the rain at bay and added to the cozy feel of the event. PWL Prince Albert was the top stepping community across 27 participating Points West and Connecting Care communities.

Weather not a damper

“We were treated to BBQ ribs, burgers, hotdogs, wedges, onion rings, corn, and an assortment of salads,” says General Manager Heather Sander. “While the weather did not co-operate, no one let it be a damper on the afternoon. Protected by a cozy tent we all huddled in and enjoyed the day.”

Generous donations

“We received generous donations from GFS foods, Centennial Foods, PA special events tents, and the Prince Albert Wholesale Club. Without these donations our day would not have been the same."

"Thanks to the residents for braving the weather," adds Heather, "and for the wonderful smiles and compliments on the day. And thanks to all the fantastic care partners who worked that day or came in and volunteered their help to making the day possible. It was a great day!”
