PWL Wainwright celebrates Canada 150
with a backyard party

July 17th, 2017

To celebrate Canada Day, residents of Points West Living Wainwright enjoyed an afternoon of garden games and refreshments. It was a beautiful sunny day, and the back garden court was set up with a variety of games, hosted by two summer students.

One of the students, Cadence (ball cap in photo) organized the event. There was ladder ball, washer toss, lawn darts and bocce ball. It was a hot afternoon, so the hydration station – lemonade and ice cold water – was well appreciated. Ice cream and watermelon also hit the spot.

Cadence is going into her second year at University of Alberta and hopes to become an elementary school teacher. She says, “It was just a beautiful day to celebrate, and really got the residents walking down memory lane.”
