Canada 150 Dress-Up Day at PWL Heritage House

July 17th, 2017

Canada Day at Points West Living Heritage House in Vegreville was a red and white affair. With Canada Day Tea to dress for and prizes for doing so, most residents and guests dug out their colours and added to the festive atmosphere. Even the dessert matched.

Lots of families came to join their loved ones for the tea and enjoyed coffee, tea and (red & white) strawberry shortcake with a maple leaf cookie. Prizes included a Canada 150 colouring book, a couple of Canada Day mugs, bags and a Canada Day towel.

After much anticipation, the winner of PWL Heritage House’s Canadian sesquicentenary quilt raffle was announced. Happily, the quilt will stay at Heritage House, under the appreciative ownership of resident Mary Heisler.
