Lots of smiles at Cold Lake Tailgate Party

September 9th, 2020

The tailgate party at Points West Living Cold Lake was the first party since the beginning of COVID. There was delicious summer party food, music, a little dancing, and a great sense of community.

Nice to see all the smiles

“It was nice to see all the smiles on residents’ faces,” says office administrator Lindsay Boisvenue. “They were all delighted to be part of the community.”

“We put some 80's classic rock music on and even got some dance moves out of me and our Independent resident Ben,” Lindsay adds.

Tables were set up in the different cottages to maintained social distancing. Burgers, hot dogs, salads, and strawberry shortcake were on the menu, and employee care partners shared the serving role. “One would go around with the food, and another one with the condiments,” says Lindsay. “Some of our residents even enjoyed a glass of wine and a can of beer. It was lovely to see.”

After we finished serving them, they said it was our turn to eat because we all did such a lovely job.”
