A cheerful gesture of thanks

July 12th, 2021

As they prepare to move into their offices in the newly-constructed/rebuilt Points West Living Drayton Valley, the leadership team has taken the time to show their appreciation to their temporary hosts. For the past several months, the team has been working out of conference room in a neighbouring hotel.

Thanks for the help

“Our general manager, Betty Verreau found the most beautiful sunflowers while out and about,” says office administrator, Lydia Carter. “She thought they would be a wonderful gesture of thanks to offer the staff at Service Plus Inns & Suites who have been helping us while we wait for our offices to be ready at the community.” Betty presented bouquets to three staff members, including hotel GM Rose Lattman (centre in above photo).

Building and landscaping update

Lydia says hallway carpet is being installed in the new buildings, and a big shipment of appliances has been unloaded, “which is helping to make areas such as the cottage kitchens look a little more finished. The balconies on the second and third floor have been completed and are beautiful additions to our space.”

“We are starting to see some big progress in the area which will become an outdoor green space,” Lydia adds. “Crews began laying down sidewalks in the courtyard, and top soil is being laid in as well.”

PWL Drayton Valley is scheduled to open in mid-August.
