Tails were wagging at this tailgate party

The wrap up ‘Tailgate Party’ for the 2021 Steps2MentalHealth walking challenge at Points West Living Stettler, was held over two days. On day one, a mobile petting zoo dropped by, giving residents lots of cuddle time with a selection of animals. The next day, everyone enjoyed a barbeque while step challenge participants received their prizes.

Everyone's a winner

Everyone was a winner when the prizes were handed out. “Here in Stettler we had 2 separate contests going,” says Recreation therapist, Lisa Smith. “For employee care partners, we had Stettler Bucks prizes for the top 3 walkers. And for the residents, we pooled together for each cottage and 1st place got a pizza party (won by the Independent Residents Cottage), the 2nd place cottage received full-sized donuts, and for cottages in 3rd-6th place, everyone got TimBits.”
