Halloween at PWL Drayton Valley is a neighbourhood event

November 8th, 2021

Points West Living Drayton Valley celebrated its very first Halloween on October 31, with a ‘Hocus Pocus Halloween Parade’. Neighbourhood children were invited to drop by the courtyard to show off their costumes and collect some treats. The turnout surprised everyone.

A memorable experience

In all, about 100 children participated in the costume parade. “It was an absolutely beautiful day,” says office administrator Lydia Carter. “Residents had a wonderful time. They were able to comfortably sit in the courtyard and greet the children from a distance. It was a very memorable experience and we are so thankful to all of the families who took the time out of their day to come by.”

Wonderful neighbours!

“Recreation Therapist, Amber Tomaszeksi, organized this first Halloween neighbourhood event, and we were amazed at the turnout,” says Lydia. “The parade would not have been possible without the participation from our local community. Thank you to our wonderful neighbours!”

Residents along with employee care partners also donned costumes, carved pumpkins, and decorated sugar cookies.
