Community generosity wows residents

What a December is was for residents of Points West Living Peace River! To the amazement of residents, gifts, donations, chocolates, goodie baskets, cards, letters, and more were delivered to them this Christmas. The community of Peace River stepped up in spades to make their season bright.

Residents speechless at community's generosity

“Residents were speechless and overjoyed with the amount of generosity from our local community, says PWL Peace River’s General Manager, Maegan Smith. “The surprised looks on the resident faces when gifts and goodies were being delivered spoke volumes.”

  • The Town of Peace River dropped of 25 gifts back for some lucky residents for the Adopt a Grandparent Program,
  • Rotaract Peace River brought their Christmas parade float to show the residents, as well as karaoke and a light show. “This spontaneous event brought so much joy to the residents,” says Maegan.
  • A secret Santa program stopped in with gifts for every resident,
  • Mercer Peace River Pulp dropped off chocolates for all our resident as well providing $600 donation to our community
  • Freson Bros Fresh Market Peace River delivered individual baskets of goodies to every resident.
  • Local schools and Rotaract Peace River provided hand written letters and artwork addressed to every resident in our community
Much joy

“There were many smiles and interaction with residents,” says Maegan. “This generosity brought much joy to residents, who throughout the last year have not been able to experience events due to COVID. Some of our residents were dancing and singing along brightening up everyone's day.”
