Heartfelt advice for younger generations

February 18th, 2022

Residents at Points West Living Drayton Valley shared some of their ‘love wisdom’ in honour of Valentine’s Day. They were asked what their Valentine’s Day advice would be for younger generations. Here are some of their gems.

On the record

“Recreation therapist, Amber Tomaszeski spent the morning of February 9th visiting with residents and recording their advice,” says office administrator Lydia Carter. “There were a lot of smiles and a few laughs as residents considered what to say. A few didn’t want to record their actual age; and we sure appreciate our residents who are ‘29 and counting’.”

Good life advice

“We always feel grateful to learn from our residents,” adds Lydia, “and we appreciate them taking the time out of their day to offer us good life advice.”

Lydia says residents also enjoyed the heart-shaped kindness cookies that were dropped off on Valentine's Day by volunteers from the Drayton Valley Community Foundation.
