Jim and Bernice take a spin thanks to Border City Connects volunteer John

Every month several adventurers from Points West Living Lloydminster get on board a three-wheeled vehicle with pedals called a trishaw, to take a ride around the neighbourhood powered by the pedalling of volunteers from the local Border City Connects group.

The fresh air, the scenery and the special exhilaration of bike riding are thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by those who participate. 

Border City Connects (formerly Lloydminster Handivan) is a non-profit that began years ago by a group of community members who saw the need to provide transportation services to the residents in the Lloydminster area with special needs or mobility challenges.

And whoever said that you can’t take a practical form of transportation and make it into a freedom fun ride?

The motto of the organization is Connecting Lloydminster one ride at a time!
