A 100-Year Milestone and a 'twinkle in his eye'

The folks at Points West Living Wainwright were pleased to share in a birthday celebration with one of their own on October 1st when John Bosch turned 100 years.

Special preparations included a balloon bouquet and a cake baked by John's wife Ida who lives with John at Wainwright. A dance band that the couple have followed around the countryside for a number of years provided musical entertainment.

With a great sense of humour, John still has a lovely twinkle in his eye. So as he blew out a candle on his cake, John said he wished for 10 more years!

John and Ida met at a dance and always enjoyed the social aspect of it as well as the fitness it gave them. They also enjoyed card playing, gardening, weekly Bingos in Kinsella, playing in a band, discing, and golf.

John spent his younger years farming, before eventually becoming a maestro with barber scissors, a career he enjoyed for 60 years.

John still enjoys hockey and baseball games on TV and spends hours playing computer games.

The people at Wainwright offered many good wishes to John from all who know and love him.
