December was the month of Alex Kuzemchuck’s 50th birthday, the Food Services Supervisor at Points West Living Athen’s Creek.

Alex planned to be away on a trip, but nobody wanted to let this important birthday to slip by without a bang. A team led by Terry, a fellow care partner, devised a plan to fill Alex’s office with a birthday surprise.

Care partners snuck in late the night before, wrapped his office windows so he couldn’t look in, and hung a poster they made celebrating the big Five-O with giant 50/50 scratch tickets complete with the signatures of the other care partners.

And they filled Alex’s office with yellow and black balloons, representing the colours of his favorite hockey team, the Boston Bruins.  Alex had no complaints that his friends took such time and effort to let him know he is appreciated. Happy Birthday Alex!
