It's feeling a lot like Christmas

December 21st, 2022

Mr and Mrs Claus (Barry and Darlene Marshall) in the spirit of the season

Christmas got in full swing at Points West Living Wainwright this month. In the space of one week, they had a tour of the town’s Christmas lights, stopped in at Battle River Lodge to have coffee and cookies and visited with friends.

That’s Entertainment!

Wainwright was delighted to welcome Dave Guy on trumpet and Carolyn Worthing on piano playing Christmas classics and hymns inspiring everyone to join in singing. Then at one Friday, one of the health care assistant students doing her practicum at Wainwright, brought her siblings, comprising their own family string quartet, to play music over lunch. A sublime mid-day meal.

The kindergarten class of reindeers “flew in”  for their own theatrical performance. The kiddies demonstrated their undeniable cuteness during their performance of the Reindeer Hokey Pokey which drew an enthusiastic encore from their audience.

Bon Appetit!

Care partners and volunteers pulled out all the stops to create a wonderful Christmas get together roast beef dinner with all the extras. After dinner, residents and care partners joined in games and singing, only exceeded by the dulcet tones of the local Wainwright Men’s Chorus and an early visit from Mr. & Mrs. Claus.

Wainwright wants to send warm wishes for a Joyous Christmas season and a healthy, happy New Year to all communities!
