Lloydminster celebrates Cinco de Mayo

Cinco de Mayo has long been a day to celebrate an historical victory for Mexican-Canadians and the residents and care partners of Points West Living Lloydminster did just that. 

In Spanish, Cinco de Mayo means the 5th of May and is a an annual celebration of Mexico's victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862.

Many Canadians join in the festivities with Mexican dress, music and the delicious food characteristic of Mexico.
