Hearts expand during a young girl’s visit to Wainwright

January 25th, 2024

Charlee gifts one of her many works of art to resident Joan. Inside, it says Charlee’s full name, Charlyn.

School breaks are great! Not only does young Charlee get time off school, but she travels from her home in Lloydminster to visit her godmother in Wainwright. Here, she spends time with a special person in her life and gets the fun of visiting with the residents of Points West Living Wainwright.

Charlee is the goddaughter of employee care partner Jonaliza Guda, an administrator.

Charlee gets to come visit all the grandpas and grammas at Points West Living Wainwright,” said Carli Lopez, General Manager. “During one visit this winter, Charlee created arts and crafts and gave them to residents throughout our community. If you walk through our community today, you would get to see multiple pieces of Charlee’s hung proudly on residents’ doors and in their suites.”

Joan was one of the residents who was gifted one of Charlee’s artworks. “Joan showed much appreciation towards Charlee and admired her piece of artwork throughout the week,” Lopez said. The two also played bingo together. “In the photos, you can see the adoration and joy they shared.”

Humans thrive when they have variety, spontaneity and unexpected happenings in their lives, which is the antidote to boredom. That’s what one of the Eden principles says, and Charlee’s buoyant presence is a super example.
