Cats and curiosity may not go together, as the saying says, but Nacho the dog had no problem with it!

During his trip to say hello to residents of Points West Living Athens Creek in Penticton, “Nacho was very curious of everything and spent little time in one place during the visit,” laughed Ellie Bertrand, Office Administrator. “We created a circle of chairs for the residents to sit on and he weaved his way in and out while saying hi and receiving treats.”

Currently living in a foster home, Nacho is seeking his “furever” home through the BC SPCA South Okanagan/Similkameen. The previous dog that the SPCA brought over to visit, Loki, has since been adopted along with his brother.

Visits like this help Nacho and other adoptable dogs learn how to be comfortable with strangers. And residents benefit immensely from the impromptu cuddle, too—in fact, having dogs visit was a suggestion submitted by residents themselves. Great idea!
